Cost of rabbit vaccinations

I read the Farmstyle Australia article "Farming meat rabbits : An introduction" and it states the calcivirus vaccination costs $3 per rabbit given by the owner or a vet.
Is this correct or a typo because when I made enquiries the cost was around 12-15 times that.
Also where would it be obtained from and would you have to be registered as a business or primary producer to get it?

Regulations around home butchering of carcass bought from slaughter house/ butchery

Hi everyone, my friends and I are interested in buying together full body beef carcass from a licensed operator.
1. Is it legal for us to cut up and share the carcass at home ourselves?
2. Can we hire an independent trained and experienced butcher to help cut up our carcass at home?
3. Is any or both of these options legal?

Please note that We ARE NOT RESELLING. It’s meant for personal family consumption.
Thanks

Setting up Cattle scales load bars

Hi just wondering if any one can help me with my cattle scales in particular where to put the load bars.
I have a set of Australian made scales and have used them for 2 years and have been happy with them .
I have now moved them to a different place and and the set up being recommended by most videos just does not seem right.
The recommendations are to put the load bars at each end of the weighing platform and my platform is 2 mtrs long.
The problem is when a cow stands at either the back or the front the scales are miles out sometimes 200kg.

Is there anyone here with local advise of problems I may have?

Looking for vat milk

Hi all,

I have recently moved to a town in east Gippsland near Sale and am trying to find some vat milk, mainly because I’ve heard it is great for making cultures butter and cheese. I’ve tried driving around to many farms around the area but haven’t had much luck obtaining any. Wondering is there are any farmers out there who would be happy to help me out.

Much appreciated

Dairy cow, where?

For a good while ive been looking for a jersey house cow. Seems they are rare as hens teeth in Victoria.
I can find plenty in stock sales, but they are heres n I only want 1. I've tried gum tree- and no PICT numbers. As ill be selling the grown calf, I'll need a pict number.
Question: can I purchase a cow, who doesn't come with PICT number and simply tag it with mine?

3 Point Linkage small Backhoe attachment

Hi all
I am interested in any experience on 3 point linkage backhoe for a small tractor (26HP) Kubota L2202.

are these toys? I used one more than 30 years ago and it was pretty hopeless, but I understand that the equipment available is far better today. Such as the Del Morino's.

I understand that these things are built for a purpose, and my requirements are small scale, small trenching & some leveling.

Any advice would be great.

Thanks in advance Tom
