Sale options sheep

Hi all, I'm will be soon selling around 6 dorper weathers which are around 5 month old, they weigh around 45kg. I understand I could sell them privately, but what other options do I have? Could I sell to an abattoir? Will a stock agent sell for me? Thanks

Hi Summitt1966, Welcome to the small farms forum, great to have you as part of the community. For so few number it would be difficult to sell through the sale yards and an agent. You could have a look at the below website and sell them through there, although it is more for feeder livestock being sold onto other farmers http://www.onlinelivestock.com.au/ Have you considered getting a mobile butcher to come to your farm? Could I sell the carcass to the mobile butcher or will it be only for my use?
