Best way to sell small farm produce

Hi gang,

What's the best method of selling produce (i.e. meat, hay, wool, eggs, etc.) from a small farm? Can a lower middle class living be made selling through local farmers markets and online sites exclusively in this day and age?

cheers

Jac

Tried vet, dewormer, feed dewormer, all the vet can say is something is whiping out their liver. My feed stores keep giving me bags that say sheep and goat and have tried several times just giving me goat feed, evan when ive went to other stores, Ive lost over 30 sheep this year and cant quite seem to figure out exactly why, the vets been no help other than charging me money, feed stores no help.

Dam/silt pond dried out and grass filled - what do I do?

Hello I'm in qld on the Sunshine Coast. It's very dry here. The silt pond that leads to the dam has now totally dried out and is filled with grass/ weed.rain should come soon. Should I get the grass and weed out before the rain or let the anticipated water drown it? Will the rotting vegetation cause difficulty in the dam? The dam is used to water gardens and allow ducks to swim.

Quad bike or small tractor?

We have a small hobby farm in the SW of WA.  We are wanting something that can haul loads and also perhaps assist with digging, in particular, post hole digging.  Are there any quad/ATVs that come with 3PL or similar to fit attachments?  Or are we better off purchasing a small tractor?  Either way, what options are there, what brands etc are worthy of a look and which ones should we steer clear of?  I have been trying to research myself, but I dont seem to be finding the information I want.  Thank you in advance.

Looking for direction

G'day all. My husband and I have 90 acres of black soil country in coastal Central Queensland. We have a small cattle herd but we are looking to move away from cattle and into farming. Our bore has 65 foot of good water in it so irrigation is a possibility here.

Suburban meat rabbits

I'm setting up a rabbitry as a humane source of meat for myself. I just have one buck and 2 does and I'm thinking about companionship for the buck. Most internet advice articles suggest everyone be neutered before bonding but this is obviously not the solution for me, so I'm considering a neutered buck to keep the breeding buck company. I'm open to any sort of advice, I separated them to prevent the does becoming pregnant too young, so the buck doesn't bother them during pregnancy and so that I can have more control over who breeds and when.

Wanting to farm yabbies, keep getting turtles in our dams, How can we keep the turtles out of our dams ?

We have 60 acres in the south east of western australia and have 4 dams on the property and decided to stock our dams with yabbies, We then found out we had turtles in our dams , we hope they enjoyed the yabbies we fed them. Does anyone have any ideas on how we can get them out of the dams and relocate them and how we may be able to stop them coming back ?  We have a road drain coming into our property and where told we will never be able to stop them. Thanks
