We joined a couple of weeks ago and have found the forum of interest. We recently relocated to Victoria and in the process of establishing our organic self sustaining small 80 acre farm (after owning 2000 + acres near Tamworth). We hope to be eating our own grown foods within 24 months.

We decided to move to Victoria as 99% of our family are here and having a dad who is regarded as one of the best Ag vets in Australia is too much free service to miss out on espeically when keeping horses

Our stock for now is a house cow and some Indian Runners, in the coming months eventually stocking with a few cattle, chooks and possibly some Berkshire piggies after a couple of seasons.

We are certain to learn from small farmers and hopefully we can add something too.
