Milkwood Permaculture Design Course will equip you with the ability to confront cultural, environmental and energy-supply change and provide you with the tools to become a more sustainable and energy efficient member of the community.
An intensive, urban-focused foundation course offering in-depth theory and practical experience as a comprehensive introduction to Permaculture Design for urban environments.

Permaculture is set of principles that result in sustainable and productive systems. Systems for living, architecture, food production, land management and community. No chemicals and no excuses. Just good, thoughtful, innovative and effective design for the needs of our species.

Integrated Varroa Mite Management (Castlemaine VIC)

The Australian beekeeping industry is seriously threatened by the possible incursion of Varroa Mite (Varroa destructor). This short course provides information on a recent case study of Varroa’s incursion into New Zealand, detailing the mite’s impact on the country’s beekeeping industry.
Participants who attend this course will also gain invaluable information regarding Integrated Varroa Management (IVM) strategies in order to prepare for, and effectively manage Varroa Mite in their apiaries.

Esperance Downs Research Station Field Day (WA)

Esperance Downs is one of thirteen research stations that DAFWA has located throughout the state from Kununurra to Esperance.  Esperance Research Support Unit (RSU) provides field technical support to various DAFWA research projects located throughout the Esperance Advisory District, including sites on the Research Station.
